Jennie Stephens
Historian
Jennie is a mother of three grown children and seven grandchildren with one great-grandson. She has been happily married to her husband Paul for over 20 years. Her interest in Scotland was encouraged by the Scottish exchange student her mother used to always have visiting at their home, so much so that they kind of grew up together. She calls Hope-Vere her adopted brother.
Jennie has always figured that she had Scottish ancestry, so when her uncle did some genealogy research and she did a DNA test and found out that we do have Scottish ancestry, she wasn’t surprised. Now her fondest dream to visit Scotland came true in 2019 where she visited her family’s ancestral castle.
Jennie loves to share her love of Scottish heritage with everyone. She is a Fellow in the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and Clan Kerr/Carr Clan Convener for the state of Oklahoma.
